Groove- The entire blade below the grind line is machined with a unique striation pattern, possible only with modern day computerized 3-D machining equipment. The 3-1/2" blade is Swedish Sandvik 13C26 high carbon cutlery stainless at 58-60 Rc. An extension of the ricasso serves as a finger guard when the blade is open. When the blade closes this same extension of the ricasso pivots through the back of the handle to serve as a "flipper" for quick and easy opening with a flip of the index finger. Tanto Groove- Flipper one handed index finger ambidextrous opening system. Striated (Grooved) blade with tungsten DLC coating.
