IWI Zion-15 .223 Remington/5.56 NATO 30-Round 16" Semi-Automatic Rifle in Black (Adjustable B5 Stock) - Z15TAC16
The Zion sports a 16-inch barrel constructed of 4150 chrome moly vandium, along with a 15-inch free float handguard. A B5 System Stock and grip come standard, as does a 30-round Magpul PMAG. The stock collapses down to 33 inches and pushes out to 36.25 inches fully extended. Proudly manufactured and assembled at the IWI US facility in Middletown, Pennsylvania.
From The Firearm Blog:
"It looks to be an upper-tier AR, competing along the same lines as brands selling complete rifles in the $750-$1,000 range. The ZION-15 will come standard with a button-rifled 16” barrel and mid-length gas system rather than the more conventional carbine-length gas system typically used on 14.5” M4 barrels, which gas system was initially carried over to 16” civilian rifles without modification.
IWI’s testing for the ZION-15 was intense. With the proper ammo, the carbine will allegedly produce sub-MOA groups (tighter than 1” at 100 yards). IWI claims that the rifle was torture tested with 10,000 rounds of full auto fire and then re-tested for accuracy, and that the rifle saw minimal performance degradation after rigorous durability tests."
