Ares Defense MCR Belt Feed / Magazine Feed 5.56 Semi Auto Rifle. This complete rifle from Ares Defense features a 16.25" barrel and a dual feed system. This rifle can be used with standard M16 magazines or M27 linked 5.56 ammunition. This rifle features a nickel boron feed tray which allows for reliable feeding and operation while using belted ammunition.

This rifle bridges the capability gap that exists between M16 / M4 rifles and the M249 SAW light machine gun. All Ares-15 rifles are gas piston operated, and feature a MIL-STD 1913 rail interface system. This rifle includes the Ares Defense sight set already installed.

This rifle is proudly made in the USA and is manufactured from high-strength aerospace alloys. This rifle weighs as little as 7.5 pounds placing it in the same size and weight category as a standard AR-15, but with the firepower of the M249 SAW.
